- Leaving cost estimates in the newer version greatly serves both agent and buyer when negotiating a fair level of understanding.
- It is highly appreciated by agents.
- By not having cost estimates, you miss out on marketing to inspectors that do provide cost estimates in their home inspection reports and are in need of such software.
4) There are inspectors provide feasibility studies which is a home inspection coupled with renovation cost estimates. Those inspectors are the HUD 203k inspectors.
It makes marketing sense; it makes revenue.

Providing cost estimates is essential for the agent and client. It allows for quicker negotiation and disallows having to call various trades for an estimate especially when time is of the essence. Taking this element out cripples the inspector’s report product. Let those who need it use it.

The clients and agent needed the home inspection report that contained a cost estimate to negotiate better for repairs or a reduction in price from the bank which held the title to the property.
