Currently, the Online Scheduler requires clients to select a service that is directly tied to the fees configured in the inspector's account. Once a service is selected, the client can proceed with scheduling and payment based on that fee without the inspector first reviewing the property details.
While some inspectors can address this by creating more detailed service and pricing structures, others use pricing models that depend on factors not known until the booking request is reviewed, such as property age, distance, foundation type, number of systems, unique features, or overall inspection complexity.
This creates a risk that clients will select and pay for a service fee that does not accurately reflect the actual inspection scope. Inspectors may then be forced to either honor an incorrect price or contact the client afterward to explain pricing adjustments.
Requested Enhancement:
Provide an option for inspectors to approve or adjust pricing before payment is requested or collected.
Examples could include:
Quote review before payment is enabled.
Booking requests without displaying final pricing.
Deposit/booking fee collection with final pricing determined later.
Ability to modify the selected service fee before a payment link is issued.
